slipped to the floor. The cool air tickled his stomach.

"I'll never ask for my shell back," Tuck said. "Never."

Now he could climb down trees.

He could camp out in his bare skin and see the sun rise.

He could run faster than a rabbit.

But nobody was impressed. All anyone seemed to notice was how strange he looked.

Some even dropped their cups and saucers when they saw him.

But the worse thing was he couldn't aim. Without his shell as support, his arm wobbled.

And when the snakes in the crowd jeered, he couldn't hide. He wanted his shell back in the worse way. But he couldn't ask for it. He had promised.

There has to be a way, Tuck thought. So he came up with a plan.
